Mengel Module

This week, we’ve listed one of my favorite chairs from my personal collection. It’s from the Mengel Module collection, and it was created by the postwar designer and architect, Morris Sanders. His work was featured at MOMA and his famous modern glass brick apartment is still standing in NYC.

I’ve had this chair for a few years and it was in need of restoration, so Kelly worked his magic, and now it’s listed on Retro-Fiend! It has been completely stripped by me, (2 coats of paint, to be exact), and then Kelly sanded, refinished and added genuine black leather straps for the seating. I just love it, but we have lots of other favorite chairs, so we’ll pass this one on to a great home!

If you’d like to see the complete listing with additional photos, check it out here at Retro-Fiend. Be sure to take a peek at Kelly’s other listings, too!
